On the radio show "Science Friday" on Sept. 13, 2013, Voyager Chief Scientist, Ed Stone, explained that Voyager was moving into the "sea between the stars." I borrowed that line for this poem fragment. This work includes clipped text from Charles Hutton's 1815 "A Philosophical and Mathematical Dictionary" which I pasted onto a canvas.

My daughter's artistic tribute to space junk. The glove represents the spare glove Ed White lost through the open hatch during a Gemini mission; it burned up on re-entry. The camera is Sunita Williams' camera which became untethered during a spacewalk from the ISS and floated off. It remains in space. (Acrylic and paper on canvas.)
